If you are walking down Enmore road, you may walk straight past Cittavino and I kinda hope you do. I say that because it’s a small bar with charm and I want it to stay that way. We have been popping in occassionally since early last year and it is getting busier every time we return. Marco always seems to remember us, we are made to feel welcome and that’s why we keep going back.
The concept is simple. White, rose and red wines are on offer from all around Australia and the world and you can buy by the glass or the bottle (to enjoy there, or take home). If you are coming in expecting Oyster Bay Sav Blanc then you will be sorely disappointed and should continue walking to a bar more aligned to your taste. The unusual varietals are from small vineyards and will be like nothing you have ever tasted. I suggest you ask for a colour and enjoy the surprise because Marko really knows his wine. You will receive free bar snacks too such as cornichon, artichokes and butter beans which keeps the focus on the wine.
Enjoy a drink or two while having a chat before heading to one of the fabulous restaurants nearby. I know you will love it as much as I do, but let’s try and keep it a secret just between us.
