This tastes much better if you are very generous with the amount of golden syrup you add.
Ingredients
- 200g butter
- 200g white chocolate
- 200g dark brown sugar
- 3/4c hot water
- 1 tbs golden syrup
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 150g plain flour
- 150g self raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- Melt butter, chocolate, sugar, water, golden syrup and vanilla essence in a saucepan over low heat. Allow to cool for approximately 20 minutes.
- Add eggs, one at a time (if your saucepan is big enough you can mix everything into that), then add sifted flours and baking powder and mix well.
- Cook for 50-60 minutes.
