Basil aioli

This aioli very versatile is delicious served with grilled vegetables, salad or as a dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Directions

  1. Whizz together the garlic, basil and egg yolk until smooth. With the blender going, gradually add oil in a thin stream until mixture thickens. Stir in lemon juice and season to taste.
